Information on different examination methods
Students with impairments have a right to differing examination methods. The aim is to compensate for impairment-related disadvantages in examinations and examination-related courses. General information can be found on the Team Barrierefrei page:

The following procedure applies to examinations and examination-immanent courses offered by our program director (SPL 19):
- (Mandatory) information interview with the Team Barrierefrei as well as joint completion of section 1 of the application form (e.g. on the basis of the form for the confirmation of study-relevant functional impairments (link)). Application forms without section 1 completed by the Team Barrierefrei will not be accepted.
- Submission of the application form processed by the Team Barrierefrei by e-mail via your u:account address to bildungswissenschaft.spl@univie.ac.at
Allow enough time for the request processing and the preparation of the differing methods by the instructors/examiners. Therefore, please always submit your requests as early as possible!
The following deadlines apply for notifying the lecturer of the use of approved alternative examination methods (with existing approval from the SPL AND recommendation from from Team Barrierefrei):
- for courses with conttinuous assessment (VU, SE, PS, KU): by the first course session
- for courses without continous assessment (VO): no later than one month before the exam date for which the alternative examination methods are being requested
The deadlines applicable to SPL19 are the latest dates for notification of use. If notification is not received by the deadline, availability cannot be guaranteed in terms of available rooms, additional supervisors required, etc.
General information about verifications can be found here:

Relevant for the information interview with Team Barrierefrei: If available, you can voluntarily provide Team Barrierefrei with documents from your school days or from other universities/studies that already describe adaptations or aids for you. These can assist Team Barrierefrei in processing your request for deviated testing methods.
Attention: For courses/examinations of other SPL's (further studies, EC, teaching subject, etc.) different administrative regulations may apply. Please inform yourself on the respective website!
